Luis and Hannes gave exceptional service – the best contractors we have ever had in our home. Hannes tolerated many design changes to our bathroom along the way, gave us brilliant ideas we had not thought of, and patiently waited for us to have just the right tiles. Luis’ workmanship was faultless, he was a pleasure to have in the house and whilst I am no expert, he gave us great confidence throughout the project. The result is a bathroom we just love and enjoy. Luis, Hannes and their team designed and installed a wetroom to meet my complex needs (I’m disabled). They put in a great deal of thought and effort into creating a safe, accessible space that, more importantly, looks very far from a ‘disabled’ bathroom. My teenage daughter loves it so much she uses it all the time (grrrr….!). The team is polite, charming, efficient, tidy, easy to contact, and endlessly helpful. I can not recommend them enough.

“Mr Pardo undertook a loft conversion at our three-bedroom Victorian terraced house. The project was to create a bedroom and En-suite shower-room, within the planning regulations stipulated for a conservation area. Additional works included re-slating the roof, repairing spalling brickwork to the front facade, external decoration and some minor plumbing works throughout the house.

The project was undertaken within the stipulated timescale and to the fixed priced budget which was agreed at the start of the project. Mr Pardo and his team worked enthusiastically and completed the job in a shorter time scale than others had quoted. This can be attributed to the full days which were worked and the regular and sustained attendance of his team.

The team on site were helpful and polite at all times and went out of their way to ensure that my wife and I and our neighbours were inconvenienced as little as possible. In fact, several of our neighbours commented on the professionalism and commitment of the builders, their excellent site safety and the progress of the project. On the very few occasions where there was a problem with the construction, Mr Pardo dealt it promptly and efficiently, often using bespoke solutions to match existing finishes and the odd quirks of an older property.

“Luis and his team have worked on two projects at our house and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

First we had our kitchen renovated and remodelled with extensive structural work involved. Luis works quickly and thoroughly and is a pleasure to have around.

He and his team then came back a couple of years later and built our loft conversion.

“Luis undertook a full renovation of my property for 12 months during 2014-15. The works included significant demolitions, several changes to the structural integrity of the building, construction of rear and loft extensions, and new internal walls.

Once the construction phase had been completed, the property was re-wired, new heating was installed, along with new floors, fireplaces, coving, windows, skirting boards, a staircase, wardrobes, a kitchen and four bathrooms.

We have been very pleased with our building work completed by Luis and his team. With a 3-year-old and a then 10-week-old baby, we needed a builder who was reliable, prompt, safety-conscious and amicable. Luis and his team proved to be all this and more. They arrived at 8am each day and worked through to 6pm not leaving before they had cleaned everything and cleared away all hazardous tools and equipment. Luis and his team were quiet, unobtrusive and courteous at all times.

Luis is a strong project/site manager and coped well with our last-minute changes to the plans and nothing ever seemed to be a problem.

The quality of the work is excellent and many of our quests have commented on the attention to detail, standard and overall finish. Luis has completed a loft conversion and kitchen extension for us in the last 2 years, both of which we are thoroughly satisfied with.

Luis Pardo and his team carried out a major project on our home which included:

New roof, involving considerable structural changes to prior roof line and tiling
Loft conversion with considerable structural engineering aspects
Extension to first floor bedrooms
Reconfiguring master bedroom to create a dressing area for built-in wardrobes
Reconfiguring and fitting 4 bathrooms, including tiling and plumbing
Substantial reconfiguring of kitchen including moving walls, installing RSJs, bi-fold doors and new supply of all utilities
Decorating entire house, including new skirting boards and coving throughout
Refurbishing all internal doors
Installation of new 2-boiler unvented mains pressure system, new pipework, radiators and water-softener installation

This was, by far, the biggest project we had undertaken and Luis and his team were outstanding throughout the entire process. The quality of his work is of the highest order and there really seemed to be nothing that he could not do ! He approaches the job as though he were working on his own home, offering thoughtful suggestions as he went through each stage and carried out the work to a standard we had not experienced with any other building contractor before.

We have since had Luis back to make further small alterations (knocking a through-way from the kitchen to the dining room) and again, the quality of the work has been first class.

What makes Luis unique is that he is on-site for the entire job and does the bulk of the work himself and oversees his team with meticulous detail. It is testament to him that the same team has been working with him for a considerable time so you have the same faces and can trust that they get the job done, to the highest standard and on time.

We were sorry to see Luis and his team go, having lived in the property while the work was being carried out – again, a new experience for us and not what you normally expect for a project of this scale.
